NTT DATA Vertex Software Achieves SEI CMM LEVEL 5 - the Highest Level Of Software Quality Recognition.
NTT DATA Vertex Software Pvt. Ltd., Pune, today announced the achievement of Level 5 (Optimizing Level), the highest possible through an assessment on the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) conducted by KPMG. NTT DATA Vertex has joined the elite list of organizations with the distinction of having the highest quality rating - Level 5 (Optimizing Level) of the SEI's Capability Maturity Model for its software development services.

Capability Maturity Model (CMM) instituted by the Software Engineering Institute of Carnegie Mellon University, USA, is one of the most sought-after global quality assessment institutes in the software industry. The CMM ratings that range from Level 1 to Level 5, which are awarded after exhaustive evaluation involving analysis and review of software development capabilities, processes and products, help buyers determine reliable and low-risk suppliers of software products and services. Fewer than this number needs to be validated in the world have been assessed at a CMM Level 5 rating.

The assessment was conducted by assessment team led by Mr. Kamlesh Kothari from KPMG. Mr. Kothari noted “NTT DATA Vertex Software, Pune development facility has been assessed at the CMM Level 5 with scope as Software Development and Maintenance projects. This is a significant step and would help NTT DATA Vertex Software demonstrate its process capability during execution of software development projects”.
